...and there, upon the sturdiest bough, Heralf discerned a nude figure of grace and beauty unequalled even in his fairest of dreams. Emerald hair tumbled over her slender shoulders, and lips of blossom smiled down upon the traveler. Hazel eyes shone as they met his own, her skin as smooth as polished wood, and upon the morning breeze a voice sang to him with all the joy of the forest...

This is just a little fairytale that was made up to go with the picture that developed in my newest sketchbook. I have decided to dedicate this book to small stories and make excerpts for them. I am so excited. This turned out well, but the scanner was too small and not the best. Hopefully I can get a better picture up here soon!

The tree is a Hornbeam, a lovely shade tree with irregular growth!

That is a mighty fine tree. My trees never look that convincing. =p

I like the idea of excerpt sketches, too.
